Terms of service

Article 1: Our service hours and rental hours

  1. Rental hours
    Our item’s returning time is 5:30pm.
    Extra charge will be required for those who wish to use the “Next day return service”.
    Please tell to the staff on the arrival date, when using this service.
    The “Next day return service” returning time is 9:30am~2:00pm on the next day.
    However, please understand that since the maintenance after the rental needed, “Premium plan” is excluded from the “Next day return service”.
  2. Delays in returning
    Delayed fee will be charged in addition, for any delays after our returning time written above.
    (3000yen per person for each 30mins)
  3. Return confirmation process
    On the customer’s return, our staff will check for the rental item’s condition.
    If items were heavily damaged, or any stains that cannot be used for the next rental,we may require a replacement, or re-purchase fee.

Article 2: Our pricing structure

  1. Rental fee
    Our rental fee contains Kimono (High quality Kimono, Obi sash, Zori sandals, bag, socks etc.), and Kimono
    dressing service from our professional staffs. (“Basic plan” does not include hair set service)
    Socks are not included for Yukata rental, and in place of Zori sandals, Geta sandals are provided.
  2. Additional options
    Optional items, such as Obi decorations (accessories), umbrellas, masks and others are available as an rental items with an addtional 500yen (tax included) per item.
  3. Payment method
    Our store is prepayment system. Please finish your payment after you have dressed up.
    Cash, credit card and electronic device payment are available.
    Please check HERE for our available payment system.
    Please be aware the cancellations on your rental plan, optional service etc., cannot be made after payment has been completed.

Article 3: Reservation, reception, cancellation and changes

  1. Reservation・reception
    For our customer’s health and safety, we cannot provide Kimono rental service for pregnant customers.
    We will not be liable for any troubles or accidents that occurs, if no declaration of pregnancy is made.
    When making a reservation, please fill in the required information on our website’s reservation form.
    On your arrival date, for the purpose of confirmation, please fill in the same information at the reception.
  2. Cancellation policy
    Cancellation on 6:00pm before the day on your arrival date will not be charged.
    100% of cancellation fee will be charged for any cancellation on your arrival date.
  3. Changes on schedule
    For any changes on your schedule, please contact us by phone call, e-mail (1115uncinq_y@kimono.co.jp), or on Instagram account by 6:00pm before the day on your arrival date.
    Changes for the schedule under unavoidable circumstances may be acceptable, however please be aware that this may be difficult on peak seasons.
    Changes on the rental plan is acceptable on the day of your reservation. However on peak seasons, arrangements on schedule may be difficult.
    For those who wish to change their schedule, please let us know as earlier as possible.
    There are limitations on our availability for each Kimono dressing・Hair set per each time slot.
    Please note that we may not be available for any customers, who made a reservation over our maximum numbers per each time slot.
    Walk-in is possible, however we will prioritize the customers who made a reservation.
    Please understand for customers with walk-in, we may ask to wait.
  4. About the Premium plan
    The reservation for the “Premium plan” can be made as 1 month before your reservation date, and as latest as 11:00AM on the day before your reservation date.
    Change on the date, or any cancellation on your reservation can be made free until 6:00PM, 2 days before your scheduled date.
    ※However, 100% cancellation fee will be charged later than those date.

Article4: Warranties for damages・stains or loss

  1. Warranty options
    Kimono insurance is included in our rental plan as for a warranty for minor damages and stains.
    Exceptions such as loss of our items, heavily damages, or if the rental items are unable to use for the next rental, we will require a replacement fee or re-purchase cost depending on conditions.
    Please handle the Kimono with care, for those who experience the Kimono for the first time.
  2. Responsibility for damages and loss
    Replacement fee or re-purchase cost will be demanded whenever our items (Kimonos, Yukata, optional items and store equipment etc.) are damaged, stained or loss.
    Minor damages or dirt is covered in our rental fee.
  3. Customer’s luggage and items kept on our store
    Keeping the customer’s clothes while our rental is possible.
    However the management of valuables are under the customer’s responsibility.
    We will not be liable for any of loss or mix-up with the customer’s luggage, electronic devices, food and beverages, shoes etc.

Article 5: Responsibilities and managements

  1. Management of Kimono
    Under customer’s responsibility, please handle the Kimono (or Yukata) with care.
    Please be aware with stains and odor retention from food and beverages, cigarettes, perfume etc.
    Other notices will be announced by staff before your departure.
  2. The methods of keeping the Kimono (For the customers using the “Next day return service”) Please keep the Kimono, or Yukata away from humid and direct sunlight, Unfold them in a flat area, and let it dry under the shade on a hanger for a night.
    Please do not make them wet especially under heavy rain, or windy weather.

Article6: Privacy protection

  1. Management of personal information
    We will use and manage the customer’s personal information during the confirmation at the reception and for our service.
    We may contact to the customers with lost and founds, so please fill in the information accurately at the reception.
    Except as required by law, we will not provide these information out to any third party.
  2. Privacy policy
    Under our privacy policy, we will keep all the customer’s personal information safe and managed.
    For specific information, please check our website’s private policy page.

Artice7: Others

  1. Dispute resolution
    In the event of any disputes arising from our terms of service, the court with jurisdiction at the location of our store shall be the exclusive court of first instance.
  2. Arrangements on our terms of service
    Terms of service may be updated without notice.
    Please check our website for the latest updated terms.

Article8: Photo shooting service

  1. About the service
    We will provide the photo shooting service for customers who will rent the Kimono at our store.
    For each plan (excluding the Premium plan), additional fee will be applied for the photo shooting service.
  2. Reservation for photo shooting service
    Photo shooting service is only provided by reservation.
    In order to apply this, please contact us directly via our official website or at the store.
    After confirming the photographer’s schedule, we will finalize the photo shooting time.
    Reservation on the day of your reservation are also possible, however availability on the cameraman may depend on the reservation status.
  3. Cancellation and Change
    In principle, cancellations of photo shooting services are not allowed.
    Please make the photo shooting reservation once the details on your trip schedule are fixed.
    For any unavoidable reason and if the cancellation is needed, please contact us by 6:00PM the day before your visiting date.
    Cancellations made after 6:00PM the day before your reservation will incur a 100% charge of the reservation fee.
    Under the event that the photographer is unable to perform the photo shooting on the day of the session, a full refund (for the photo shooting) will be issued.
  4. Delivery of the photograph data
    The delivery of photography data may take up to 1~2 weeks.
    The photo data provided will not be retouched by default.
    However, retouched images can be delivered for an additional fee.
    Please review the price list in advance for the necessary reservation.
  5. Portrait Rights and Copyright
    Photos and videos taken during the photo shooting will only be used for promotional purposes on our store’s SNS and website, under the customer’s acceptance.
  6. Notes During the photo shooting
    Due to the weather conditions or crowded situations, some areas may be restricted for photography.
    Our store is not responsible for theft or loss of personal belongings during the photo shooting.
    Please manage your valuables by yourself.
  7. Disclaimer
    Our store assumes no responsibility for any accidents or injuries that may occur during the photo shooting.
